My sister is a Poet Laureate fellow and I couldn’t be more proud. She has earned it, and deserves every inch of blessing that comes her way. I don’t say this because she’s my sister, I don’t give compliments lightly but in my life, she is one of the few people I know whose struggles molded, shaped and defined her character and has emerged a true light in her time (and hopefully, for future generations) .. just as the meaning of her name predicted, Aileen = bright, shining light. So here’s to my sister, Bravo, Cheers and Encore! 🍾
